Parents and Carers
Redwood School values strong relationships with parents, carers, and families, offering various ways to engage, such as half-termly groups, the PTA, and parent governor roles. They appreciate feedback and support families through peer-to-peer groups and external professionals. The PTA helps with school events and fundraising, while parent governors participate in key meetings and represent families.
Parent/Carer Governor Role:

Responsibilities: Develop school strategy, hold leadership accountable, oversee finances, and engage with the community.

Expectations: Remain impartial, maintain confidentiality, and undergo training.

Eligibility: Open to all parents/carers of registered pupils.

Student Leave of Absence Form:
Parents/carers of learners at Redwood Secondary school may make an application during term time to request leave of absence, please be aware of the following:

Each request will be looked at individually and this will depend on your child’s attendance taking into consideration the government guidelines which state that a student attendance should be 95% or above.
Please pick up a paper copy of the form up from the school reception.
Bistro Menu:
The bistro lunch menu changes on a 3 week basis.
The price of school meal changes annually, from September 2024 the price of a school meal will be £3, a total of £15 per week. We are a cashless school so payments are only accepted via Arbor, our parent communication app.
