Redwood Hubs

The Redwood Hubs were created to empower students in core learning skills and habits. The Hubs provide support so students flourish with the emotional & social demands of  large school communities – namely, relationships with adults and peers and ultimately improve the attainment, and in turn the longer term prospects, of this cohort of students.  At Matthew Moss we built a curriculum utilising resources and expertise from our partner school whilst developing social and academic inclusion.  The Hub is now 3 years old and has a clear focus on academic attainment, with students accessing mainstream lessons working towards GCSE’s, BTEC Qualifications, ASDAN and Entry Level Qualifications.  The Edgar Wood Academy Hub commenced in November 2023 with a focus on providing opportunities to learn ‘Outside the Classroom’ developing ‘real life’ functional skills in the community through additional enrichment activities, working directly to support EHCP outcomes.
